Harvey and Deb Paulin's Wedding 3/26/11

Deb and Harvey were married on the beach at Miromar Lakes in Estero FL.  The reception took place at the beach house and was beautiful!  They were able to include, not only their children but their grandchildren as well.  This was a very long day and a ton of work but it was all worth it!  Thanks to Audrey Chow, an intern at FGCU for stopping by to photograph the evening for me.  It isn't often that I get to show the behind the scenes of coordinating a wedding !  Austin Trenholm was the photographer of this event so FANTASTIC photos of the wedding are to follow! Thanks also to everyone that helped me to put this function together at Miromar.  They have a great staff!

Deb decided to gift all of the centerpieces as well as some other decor items to particular guests.  The only problem was deciding on the right time to start taking down centerpieces to bag for guest before they left and without making them feel like the party was over since we were stripping the tables of floral.  Tough one!

Common occurrence:)  I usually have the emergency kit but Deb wasn't sure where she had left it last so Audrey was kind enough to take safety pins from her hem to use for the bustle!  Nice Save!

This is Austin showing Deb how he would like her to pose... I didn't catch it at his "sexiest pose" but at least this can serve as a reminder for him ... lol  xoxo!

My Road to the Real World: "I DO...to an internship!"

This is the what our new intern Coral wrote about our meeting with her today where we told her she was a (temporary) New Charmed Girl! I remember when I was still in college at FGCU and no one wanted to give me an internship because they were afraid to teach their potential competition... That makes me sad. I can't imagine teaching someone everything you know and then having them challenge you. My feeling is that if you truly have passion for what you do, you share it, in the hope that it blooms and just makes you better for it. Helping people grow and accomplish their dreams can never be a bad thing! I wish I had someone to give me that boost when I was younger.... so, here's to Karma and Coral! :) She is going to be amazing!

My Road to the Real World: "I DO...to an internship!": "Guess What??? I had an interview for an internship...and got the job!!!!! Going to school events pays off. I met one of the owners at the sp..."

Check us out in this weeks Florida Weekly Publication!

Robert Williams, a writer of the Florida Weekly, surprised Britney last week when he called to ask her a few questions about our business to publish in the Business Section.  She gave him my number and asked that he call me as I do all of the Marketing and PR for Charmed.  We spoke for quite a while about weddings, struggles, achievements and even  a little about our families comparing stories of our siblings.  It turned out to be a very realistic view on the Bridal Industry as it is today and I thank him for his story.  Any opportunity we are given to reach out to our future clients is much appreciated!! Check out the article in this weeks Florida Weekly paper!

Just for the record, the photo that made the paper of BRIT AND I was from Luminaire Foto, not Limelight.  We submitted a photo for the cover that was taken of one of our brides from limelight, but it didn't make it to print.

Custom Magnets

I made these for my Gram and my friend for their birthday this month.  It's so easy and the options are endless!  I only gave myself about 3 hours to get the project done.. thankfully, it didn't even take that long!

All you'll need are magnets (I got mine at a craft store)
clear glass stones
a tin (you could use an altoids box if your stones are small but I used a tin for gift cards)
super glue
modge podge
scissors
paper with design of your choice (I googled vintage designs and then added letters in ipages)

I added some fun glasses to my girlfriends gift.. after all, it's her 30th!  Who wouldn't need drinking glasses for such an occasion!
For detailed instructions visit  Brixton Lane thanks for the great ideas!!
