Karen isn't just a pretty face!

Charmed is VERY picky at whom we do business with.  This is no because we are stuck up or too good for "some" vendors... it's because our Brides are our pride in joy.. You wouldn't leave your child with a babysitter that you found on craigslist without getting a back ground check, references and the promise of their head on a platter if ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING happens to your Bride.. I mean child.  Well, thats how we feel about our Brides.  Here at Charmed we meet every one of our brides and only work with the very best.  So, you can only imagine our surprise and excitement when we walked into Karen's office and saw the awards, certificates and A FOOD NETWORK METAL!!! We took a huge sigh of relief that we were in the right place and time would NOT be waisted!

Flavors

Lets begin with the wonderful flavors.. before coming to this cake tasting, I could have sworn that I wasn't a big cake eater but then... I tasted the Coconut with shredded coconut (you can get it without the shreds too) and couldn't help but dip it into just a touch of peanut butter filling (which she brought out upon my request) and sent that delicious combo of my two favorite flavors that you would think didn't go together but once it hit my lips... BLISS! This was the best cake I had ever had.. right then and there I became "A CAKE PERSON".  A cake lover that is, I could never create such harmony between flavors as Karen has managed to do.

It was a fantastic day at the office!

For the next week I am going to introduce Karen Vazquez from Kakes by Karen! She is one of our newest and most talented 'Charmed Preferred' Vendors and we at Charmed Weddings just love not only her beautiful, delicious cakes... but her own personal *charm as well!

Since graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2006 with a major in Events Marketing, this Florida native has worked in the events industry for clients such as Beasely Broadcasting, American Red Cross, Disney, and Trump Initiative.  She is no stranger to planning weddings either, having been a bridesmaid in four weddings and a maid of honor in two, she fell in love with the wedding industry.  After working on several weddings on a freelance basis, she is so excited to be now working with Charmed Weddings and has made providing the most unique and beautiful weddings, her sole focus.  

Meet Our CEO Britney Riley!!

Britney is the mastermind behind Charmed Weddings.  She graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Hodges University in Business Management knowing that she would be running a company one day.  Realizing early on that she loved to plan events, she began volunteering her services to friends and family that quickly spread the news about her hidden talent.  After doing several events she noticed the benefit in having decor and rentals in house.  Collecting these items became her next step.  The requests for her services became so great that she decided she would start charging a fee for hire.  She also new that if she was going to make a true business out of this, she was going to get certified and eventually own a prime office location.  Anyone that knows Britney had no doubt that she would make it happen.  Having the ability to not only plan an event but provide additional services such as rentals and decor, has accelerated the company's popularity.  In less that two years she has created her company Charmed Weddings, acquired her certification in Wedding Planning and opened her own office in prestigious downtown Naples.  Her next step... become Southwest Florida's preferred full service wedding planning company!
