Finally.. I made it to the Beach Chalet to check out the property. Since the day I was engaged, I wanted to rent a private home for my wedding.. the main reason.. you have to rent it for a week minimum and I love a good long party!! It's important to know what you want in a venue. I wanted something that didn't look pretentious, only held about 60 people (forcing me to keep it close family and friends because it's easy to get carried away with inviting your co-workers, family doctor and hair dresser), AND that would feel like home where your welcome to stay as long as you like. My fiance and I travel allot so, running off right away on a honeymoon wasn't the most important thing. We wanted to have our closest friends and family party together all night and become one big family by morning... after seeing this place, it clearly needs some work.
side entrance
This is the side of the house leading to the first layout of seating
THis is the walkway headed to the back of the house.
close up of the side entrance
This is one of the largest garden areas that could definitely use some work..
A larger, more broad view of the backyard
Left side of the property
boardwalk leading to the beach.. this would look beautiful lit up with tea lights.
The hydrant will definately have to be covered... view from the beach toward the house.
Large area for seating and lounge furniture.
I must admit I brought my puppy and she was being a bit wiggly.. but she loved her first time in the water.
The back entrance.a shot from the left side of the house toward the back patio.
The house next door... Also for sale but not much to offer for an outside party venue.
The landscaping is horrible and there is rust all over the deck BUT Im up for the challenge. If your interested in a private home wedding then we have the perfect Vendor for you. She works for an agency that has the majority of large summer rentals in Ft Myers, Bonita, and Naples in their portfolio! Just give us the specs and we can find it! We will also know what question to ask like noise restrictions, lighting laws, parking availability and disposal.
