Let me start by saying #1 we were not able to see the main garden location due to a torrential downpour and #2 DO NOT park in the spot in front of the door... it is cursed. Allow me to explain...
Britney and I arrive at the Zoo so excited to see the location as we were curious how they could turn a zoo into a lavish affair. Im walking around the shop and I overhear some of the staff explaining how the girl that parked there and broke down must have left because there is another car in that spot.. Im not interested because I am captivated by the adorable little neon frogs... then one gasps and says OMG!! the tire is flat in the car that JUST pulled up! Although Im the only person in the shop I still hesitated to look out the door until they said does anyone have a white Santa Fe... OH THE HORROR... I look out the door and my fear is confirmed.. You see, not only was I borrowing my mothers car that day but I was using her car to transport our beautiful new arch to the showroom (which was hanging out the back just a little). Then I see a AAA guy drive through apparently looking for the last unfortunate soul that broke down in this very spot. We flag him down and as I try to contact my mother to see if she has AAA, he is already getting the spare (thank GOD she had a full size spare, the weight of the arch couldn't handle a doughnut) and then it STARTS TO POOR!! I mean POUR!! He says I can go inside and he will put it all back good as new... I ask how much it will costs and he says.... nothing, don't worry about it! If I wasn't engaged I would have kissed him! instead I gave him $30. Moral of the story, don't park there!
So, back to the Zoo.. the photos she was able to show looked amazing but we didn't get a chance to look at the main venue due to the rain. We did get a chance to see two of there other location that would be large enough for a small wedding 20-30 or a rehearsal dinner. I have photo's of them below. The thing about this location that you must remember is that it is a blank slate... you will have to bring everything in from lights, dance floor, electricity and food..
If you use the side lot pictured above, you are able to access the TV in the theater pictured below for a slide show or video.
This is the Rain getaway-backup plan idea... with tons of draping you can make and structure beautiful!
Sorry I don't have more to show on this venue. We will be going to an event there later this month where will will be able to not only see the venue but e will have the chance to see it decorated and furnished! ''
